I've come close--on the long arm! Scared me to death, and oh that must have hurt! So sorry! Keep an eye on it not to get infected. I'm hurting for you just thinking about it!

I had the bright idea that if I used my zipper foot to sew a rag quilt together I could get really close to the batting.
Well, I also got 'really close to the needle'. I was going through the intersecting seam of the 4-patch and my hand slipped off the seam and I sewed right thru my finger next to the nail. BUT, when I jerked my hand, I bent the needle at a 90 degree angle and tore out the side of my finger! So, don't be tempted to use the zipper foot for the rag quilts ... bad idea! |
Yep, and didn't like it at the time !! LOL
|
Ohh, sounds painful!!
|
sigh... yes... but a different kind of frustration... almost snipped the pad of my thumb off while attempting to snip a simple thread... 6 stitches later, I was fine... and humbled...
Who knew quilting and sewing was so dangerous!! |
i once sewed across my long fingernail and scratch the tip of my finger with the needle , boy did i feel dumb
