Yep, it's the only one I use for piecing.

I am a member of the Aurifil thread group also, purchased a box on Mass Drop last year, and have never looked back!

My favorite as well!

I have been an Aurifil girl for awhile....recently tried the 40 wt for machine quilting-love it! And, yes, Craftsy often has it on sale for less than $8.....

I recently got spoiled with this thread too when I bought a 3 pack as a Daily Deal on MSQC. My biggest problem is finding the colors I want for around $8. Craftsy has a limited color selection so I found a few at Hancock of Paducah.

I've been looking for a source for Aurafil. Thanks for the heads up!

Hawthorne also has aurifil, and has sales once in awhile....

I plan to get some Aurifil when it's on sale unless the shipping makes it same price as my local fabric shop.

I was lucky enough to start with Aurifil when I first took up quilting (3 or 4 years ago). It was the thread my LQS shop sold, so it's what I bought. I've only tried one other for piecing and immediately went back to Aurifil.

This past week I tried it (still 50 wt.) for FM quilting instead of my usual Isacord poly. Oh my - absolutely love it for that, too! Just the right sheen, perfect tensions with my Janome 7700, not a single thread break in a 60 x 84 quilt.

I'll have to try it on my next FMQ project as I currently love Isacord for FMQ on my Janome....
