all of the time. I love it!

I use mine all the time, I have noticed though that some needles are harder to thread than others, may be smaller eye size that thethreader doesn't want to fit into.

I use mine all the time. I have found it won't thread needles with a small eye, can't remember the size.

true4uca 11-01-2011 05:42 PM

The only time this happens for me is when the eye of the needle is too small. Can't remember that needle size.

Sugar, It happened to me a few weeks ago!! I had just replaced the needle, and, yes, the needle wasn't quite up far enough! try it, Love and God's blessings.

Mine worked fine for awhile but now it does not connect. I had it to the shop but am not going to pay $75. again to have it looked at.

I use mine all the time but have found out I will occasionally get a needle that for some reason must be a little off at the eye and the threader doesn't work. Replacing needle always fixes it.

MaryStoaks 11-04-2011 05:20 AM

I've never been able to make my threader work. Now I don't even try.

I had a problem in the beginning but I had it adjusted by the dealer and never had another problem. Mine is a Janome Horizon and I habe a Janome 3160 and they both work great.

ka9sdn 11-04-2011 05:56 AM

Use mine all the time but I do not put the foot down as you syay you do. I have a Janome.

I have had one on 3 machines and it never worked right,,,I dont bother with them any more

Quilter7x 11-04-2011 06:04 AM

I use mine all the time also; can't see to thread the needle manually any more. One thing that no one has mentioned is if the little hook thing is out of shape. It's such a fine piece of wire and is easily moved out of shape. See if you can look at it through a magnifying glass to be sure it's in the "hook" shape. Good luck!

I think it is one of the best inventions ever! I use it on all mine, but love the threader on my Pfaff the best--it NEVER fails. Sometimes on the others it will take more than one try. I won't sew without an auto threader, and that's the truth!!!

romanojg 11-04-2011 06:47 AM

I use mine all the time. I admit the first machine that had it I had a hard time getting it but thankfully it came with a CD and when I watched that I had a ah hah moment. I now have the Ruby and finally got it working when I'm using the embroidery machine. Threaders are great; rather it's for a machine or by hand
