i would buy it off the roll, but i never see 108" on a roll at joann.
there's nowhere else around me.

I like it off the roll if I can get it. The bagged stuff always seems wonky to me and the creases are a real bear to get out. Plus on the roll I get exactly the amount I want. Not a presized amount.

I get w&n and I pike it on the roll I will buy like 5-10 yards at a time and have them roll it on a tube for me. Much easier to deal with and with less waste. I have only gotten bamboo in a package but that was because I haven't. Found it local untill this last quilts.

how do you double dip for more than 10% right after the holidays?

:?: What is a decent price? It probably depends on your area. I have heard from other prople that W&N and W&W is the way to go. I also would like to get 108" as I don't like to piece the batting, which I have done. Thanks for all your help. BrendaK

Off the roll you can buy only what you need and thus control the cost. It does not have the folds you discussed. I use warm and natural or warm and white from the bolt and really like it. You can find this on sale many times.

I online ordered mine on a roll. It is stored under my bed in 2 very large plastic bags to prevent dust getting on it. It is super wide.

Got it through Cranberry Quiltworks. The deliver out here from California, so I can get it with no tax or s&h.

BTW. I'm still on my first really big roll. When i do charity quilts we are given poly batting, so I use what is given.

I use low loft polyester, packaged. It's easy to store and I buy it on sale at Jo Anns. I'm going to try the 80/20 next time. I don't buy warm and natural since I never know if I'll hand quilt it or not.

Batting is expensive no matter what kind you buy or where you purchase it. I buy it by the roll because it is cheaper and I can cut exactly what I need. Every year in January my local LQS has a batting sale and brings up a load from Waco Texas to Canada. They take pre-orders and sell it at 40% off the regular price. Many quilters split a roll (30 yards) with a quilting buddy. I always buy a roll of Polydown (my favourite for kid's and frequently washed quilts) and a roll of W&N if I need it. I may order 80/20 or Quilter's Dream this year as many of you seem to like it.

I think the regular price her on Warm and Natural is 13.99 a yard.
