fascinating topic. i have never used beeswax but neither do i hand quilt nor do i embroider anymore. i wonder does the beeswax leave a residue on the items you sew when using the wax? how often do you run the thread thru the beeswax when you are sewing an item?
i am not seeing handquilting in my near future but my family is making a family heirloom quilt by hand and i can pass this tip along to them. |
I love thread heaven and bees wax - I use both! It is a hassle without!

It works great when doing EPP also - great stuff!

I've used it off and on for years. Glad you found it and like it.

With the really great pre waxed quilting thread, you don't need it anymore. I got some in an inherited stash and found the thread is just as good without it.

Is this a product available only at a quilt shop?

So what do you actually do with it, I do a lot of hand embroidery...HELP

Okay, I want to get me some. Where do I purchase it?

I hadn't thought of using it for my serger loopers. Can you say DAHHHHHH! :D

I have also used it when I need the thread not to twist and knot when I hand sew. Wonderful Stuff.
