Best Needle Threader for poor eyes

I have such difficulty threading the small quilt needles. I have searched for a needle threader and thought the clover threader looked great until I read reviews that stated it would not work on the small quilt needles. What do you use or recommend? Thanks for your help.

I am watching this post! My 91 MIL would like to know this also. :)

i have the same issue as you. one of the ladies at bee had a bohin which threads large or small needles... i was using a small betweens with silk thread and her device worked amazingly! so i ordered one from amazon the same day. it came a couple of days ago and i am just thrilled. since i'll keep it in my 'travel' kit, i wanted another one for the sewing room. so i ordered another! i never could get my clover one to work well for me.

I am so glad to see this thread (no pun intended!). I have had a Bohin needle threaders for years and love it. I wanted to buy several more as gifts but didn't know the brand - my eyes are too bad to read anything printed on it. So thanks to QuiltnNan's link to Amazon, I can order a couple more! Buy it, you will love it!

I agree, the Bohin has threaded every needle I have put in it. When I grab a sewing kit I want everything I need in that one kit and I have this in every one of them.

What about the self-threading needles? I find them to be wonderful. A tiny slit allows thread in and it stays threaded.

You can thread pretty small needles with the Roxanne needle threader. My eyes aren't that good anymore and I don't have any trouble using it.

Seriously, try the self threading needles. The thread does not come out.

I was having a hard time also, seeing the thread and the needle eye. I do wear bifocals, but decided to try a pair of reading glasses, 2.50 range, and they worked great for me, and you can get stronger strength.

I bought one of those hands free lighted magnifying glass things you put around your neck. It works great. I love it. I used it whenever I hand sew. Here's a link to the Nancy's Notions page. http://www.nancysnotions.com/product...d+magnifier.do
