How about the grey as the binding and the purple as a flange? |
Seems like the mauve wins, I will finish sewing it on and hand sew to the back tomorrow. Thanks everyone!

I think you are looking at it when it's too close to your nose. Go stand in the doorway, and it'll look better. My guess is in 4 years, you wont even think about it. Anyway, it looks FINE!

I would keep it as it is. There is a white border between the sheep and the binding to give it space.
|
I don't think the gray adds anything as the accent flange should.and I would stay with the lavender or try a shade of light blue.
|
I think the purple you are using looks fine, but if it is going to bother you then certainly switch. The grey would also be nice.
|
I like the purple too.
|
I'm voting for black.

I really think it's fine. Sometimes when you have been working on a project and staring at it something just seems off. If you take a short break and come back, everything will work out.

I like the purple. I like the gray. Since the purple is already sewn on--and you've already fretted over this darling quilt long enough--I'd leave the purple and say "well done"! I'd stay away from the black as it will fade and age prematurely with time and laundering.
