I finally managed to take a photo of all my beautiful blocks the other day! I have been so caught up in this house and the renos and I have lost track of the amount of visits to the various hardware stores here, my quilting and sewing had to be put on hold (sniff sniff).

Thank you all sooooooooooo much for sharing your beautiful stars!! I love each and every one of them!

Oh Q Aggi, these look so good together. Hope you are keeping well by the way and that you are not stressing yourself out with the new house.

Take care of yourself honey.

Very nice aggi. That was a great block exchange.

Very cool Andrea! You got one of mine and I got one of yours! I'm putting the last border on and then I'll post a shot.

Aggi, I'm so glad you finally got your blocks! Mine are on the back burner until I finish a current project, but I"m itching to get at them. Can't wait to see what everyone does!

Hi,
I am in the process of putting my blocks together from the Blue & White Star Block exchange. I made 24 blocks and got 24 blocks back! I wanted to take your idea of whose block is whose by putting a label on each block with the first and last name, city, and state on each. Some of my blocks did not come with a name or city and state. I was able to research some blocks through their user name for Quilting Board, but some of the blocks I received had no user name or anything on them. Do you have any idea as to how I could find out?? What was the user name for the lady in charge of this block exchange? I have forgotten and thought that if she could give me a list of the participants, that might help. I want to give everyone credit for their block in my quilt! If you could help me, that would be great! thanks, Judy

Post a picture of the blocks you are missing names on. One of us will know who's block it is.

I haven't been able to start on mine...I've got so many other projects sitting there waiting to be done, that this one is being put on hold for now.

QuiltingAggi, you have one of my blocks! I can't wait to see what you do with your blocks when you get a minute to play!

Everyone's ideas are just so wonderful, I can hardly stand it!

OK, I'm a little slow. It took a while to get the top done, then even longer to get it quilted, and then more waiting while I got around to photographing it. However its now done and is gorgeous!!!! Thank you so, so much to all the ladies who participated in this swap.

Sorry to resurrect this from almost 15 years ago...but I finally finished this HAHAHAH. I should have put in for 24 blocks not just 12... or maybe added several borders, but it is what it is. It's going into the fair next week and I'm fresh out of patience now, lol. Some of my blocks are missing name tags, so I've been scrolling through the dozens of pages in this thread trying to identify them.

That is a beautiful quilt! What a beautiful finish after 15 years! Your UFO is fair bound, too. Very exciting. I hope you were able to find everything from the thread you were looking for. Sounds like a fun project, too. Congratulations!!

Haha, I didn't go anywhere fancy, life just kind of got in the way. For a while I had gone over to Shadow Dancer's forum... I don't know what happened to that group :/ I haven't stopped sewing, but I mostly make clothes and stuff now, lots of stuff for my kids, machine embroidery. I'm also heavily involved in competitive sports (I do cheer and gymnastics 4 times a week, my daughter does cheer 2x a week, my son has gymnastics 3 times a week and we all do karate including my husband) and I have a pesky full time job that eats up all my fun time LOL. I miss making quilts, but I have SO MANY.

As for my quilt, sadly it didn't win anything at the fair, I submitted it into the group quilt category but I think the judges were looking for something that was assembled and quilted as a group, not individual blocks sewn by 12 different people, and assembled and quilted by one person. Because for originality and interesting back story, mine was definitely the coolest. I won 1st place for one of my quilt blocks though, and all my artwork won ribbons.
