This border fabric-yay or nay?

It mostly has all the colors from the top but instead of pink, it has orange. When I look at it that's all I see but I don't know that I'd find anything closer. Another option is to use a solid border (I think I have enough of the dark brown I used for the stripes).

I can't tell from the pic if the background color for the border is black or brown. As long as it's the same as the window sashing, I think it's perfect. :)
Cute quilt! |
They're both brown but the stripes are a darker brown. I don't have a shop here so I have to order online, and sometimes I have to make an uneducated guess about whether or not something will match. lol

I would probably go boring and put an inner thin pink border and then an outer brown one--but probably solid brown, even if I were tired of brown.

I think put a dark brown strip first, to frame it, then the border. I am sure whatever you do will be lovely!

I think it looks quite nice. If it were me, I'd want to try it with a larger print for the border, just to see if that might be preferable, but I think it works really well. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't care for the plain brown.

I think the dark brown solid fabric would be stunning, but the medium one is nice, too. It's just a different look... more casual & playful.
FYI ... some sites will give you Pantone color numbers so you can get more exact color matches. :) |

ooh good ideas! Okay here are some of the other combos mentioned (I don't have a bigger print on hand with these colors).

i would go with the pictured print, not the solid.
