I always say that "it will quilt out"
and after it is quilted you won'r even notice it. So quilt it, launder it and you will never notice the imperfections and enjoy the quilt! |

for some reason I've noticed that with wonky quilts...when hand quilting the puckers etc just sort of disappear...most of them anyway. Some of the ladies I quilt with have this problem..and I have in a few cases myself. LOL

you could probably longarm it with puffy batting, like Quilters Dream Puff. as a longarmer, I have done some like that using the Puff. worked good. Think about it.

Kim Brunner has a DVD, "Machine Quilting for Beginners". One of the sections on the DVD addresses quilting quilts with "issues". You might find some help there. She cures some wonky problems you wouldn't believe on her longarm and produces quilts that are flat and square.

You can only do your best, good luck, she will love it.

What did you decide to do? I'd love to see a photo.

Good Luck. She will love it finished. Annie |
Are you sure you cant put it on the LA? A lot of times that will stretch out the wonkyness. Or at least you could avoid certain areas while quilting it. Good luck.

I would put it on the longarm frame. Quilt it like you regularly would....then, wash it in HOT water (with a dye magnet, of course). Use cotton batting. It will shrink up and look very old...and it will hide the puckers. :)
