My final ones were made with cute printed flannel for the outsides and another solid flannel for the 'batting'. I tried using a thin batting but just didnt like it as well. I made them in the peanut shape and they turned out so cute...

I have two under two! So, I make a lot of burpies! I use the receiving blankies I was given. Come on, they only fit for a few weeks! I quarter them and back them with chenille or a cotton towel. They are wonderful!

Divokittysmom, those are precious! What a wonderful idea for a baby gift.
