I can't even wrap my mind around what NYC must be like.

The Fashion /Garment district is around 7th Avenue at 38th Street,
near the Port Authority Bus Terminal. There are dozens of stores selling notions, fabrics, etc. Some are very specialized and some have a hodge podge of rolled cloth. Of course they cater to the designers and manufacturers, but also to the many students, from FIT (Fashion Institute) and Parsons. There are stores that specialize in costume fabrics too. One whole store of glittery spandex! A lot of fun.

With the right person next to you, you can have a great time. If you go by yourself it can be a little intimidating but only because you don't know where to start. When I first left my home in Puerto Rico I came to find a job in NYC, but Jorge was already here. I learned it slowly and can say that I am still learning. I can say that every time I pick a new interest I discover a new side if the city.

What a cool place to visit, but it can be very intimidating!

I used to go to NYC quite regularly, but never got to do anything good like that. If I had, maybe I would still be going.
