You can, but I would use Retayne on the batiks before putting them in a quilt. I had a lot of batik fat quarters for a quilt I'm currently working on and all of them bled. Some of them bled like a sheep at slaughter until I set the dye with Retayne.

you can mix almost any thing together. i have mixed some weird colors together because i more material and they were great together.batics are wonderful blenders
