Good for you! I don't like to throw out any piece of fabric that could eventually tun into another beautiful quilt or other creation. I've taken thin strips and made many string quilts with them and the small leftover bits and pieces make wonderful crumb quilts. I love scrappy quilts too!

Well done. With the cost of fabric every bit saved is a good thing.

We keep paying more for fabric these days...use every bit you can in some way. We pay for the scraps too.

Wow... need to get my scraps out and do something with the. My dd laughs at me for keeping my scraps.

I have very large pieces of fabrics and try to use them up. I do use scraps for quilts, usually not smaller than 1-1/2". Maybe when I get bigger pieces sewn up I may try your method.
Good for you to use tiny pieces. Doubt I have enough patience for that.

Fun things from your bits and pieces!

I made placemats out of some of the recreated yardage I have like that. Also saw a spool quilt that the fabric strips made the "thread" portion of the spool. Cute idea!
