Christmas Light Block

1 Attachment(s)
Every Nov., our guild has a Christmas Exchange block. We can make any 12.5 inch block with a Christmas theme. I made this Christmas Light block using tiny scraps. We wrap our blocks and then they are passed out randomly.

I have 16 blocks saved so far. I would like to do a quilt as you go style quilt where you quilt each block individually. Does anyone have any good tutorials? Thank you and Merry Merry Christmas!

Nice looking block!

basically you bind each block then whipstitch the blocks together. I did some of this in the 90's and used one of my machine stitches to sew the blocks together.

Potholder quilts is the current name I think, they were called quilt as you go back then

I think this blogger is behind the resurgence of the technique

Lovely job!
As far as QAYG, there are lots of different methods. I like to sandwich and quilt, trim all to the same size then attach like this:
