coin quilt
2 Attachment(s)
my neighbor gave me her summer dresses to use in my quilting. it is all cut up and made into strips. I have added some green, yellow and purple, but now I am not sure if I should use the purple blocks.
would love your opinion thanks |
Yes ! Yes ! Purple looks great in the coins. What color will you use between the coins ? Keep at it. Love it. Hugs too.
Yes, use the purple...it makes it pop more.
First picture I thought that's pretty it's happy and pops, I like it....then I saw it without the purple very sophisticated and elegant the colors blend beautifully. I guess it depends on what your looking for me, I would go without the purple.
If you're trying to have a pop of color, the purple for sure! I honestly can't think of a reason why to go with the second because I like the purple one so much!
I am no help here as I really like both of them. I do love purple. Just wanted to let you know that I think it will be a very pretty quilt. Can't wait until you show us the finished quilt. BrendaK

I like the purple in the quilt.
Why do I always pick the one no one else likes???? Anyway I like #2
I like them both, but I like the one with the purple more!!
The purple really sets it off !
Both are pretty but I love the pop of purple too!
Absolutely the purple. Are you placing vertical strips in between each set of coins and if so, what color are you using?
Love the purple. Just adds interest.
i like the occasional purple.
I like the purple. It adds some fun color pops.
Cheers, K |
Oh geez - I like them both too - but I lean toward #2 - it has a very cool and soothing look.
Teal is my favorite color so I vote #2 with no purple.
Yes, please use the purple.
I like it without the purple.
I really like the purple in the quilt. It is beautiful either way but the purple really adds to it.
The purple pops! My eyes glazed over looking at number two.
But then I love purple. :D |
Definitely the Purple!
To me, the purple really makes it!
I really prefer the second picture so tranquil, soft and soothing. Go with what you feel confident with. Either way, you will have a very pretty quilt.
Either one is lovely just a different feel, one more monochromatic calmer and the other brighter with the pops of purple. I like them both. If you are going to put strips inbetween that can really change the look too so would maybe audition both with those inlcuded.
I like the one with the purple. It does give it a pop.
Yes, the purple looks really good.
I like the purple in there. Gives a "pop".
I like the purple in there. Gives a "pop". Looks like we all agree on the "popping" effect!
I really like it with the purple. But it's hard to say when the strips are separated by your lovely floor. Will there be another fabric in there, or will the strips go together? That might influence the decision.
I like it with the purple. I made a coin quilt also. Everybody lived it.
# 1 Beautiful.
Purple adds sparkle and energy to the quilt. I'd leave it in.
I like the purple, too! Although both are very pretty!
Don't know what you intend to use for the sashing but I think I'd like #2 with the purple used for sashing. In #1 the purple seems to overpower the other more subtle colors. My opinion.
Put the purple in! A little pop of color adds so much to your quilt.
Keep the purple!!! Looks great.
another vote for the purple here.
Definitely. Otherwise it's too monochromatic/ho hum. IMHO
I think the purple helps bring all the colors together.
