Color challenged...please help

The time has come to attach my blocks, and I don't think I like the color of the light brown border here. I am passing the point of no return so I need to decide one way or the other.
I am not fond of the light Brown. It looks Gold to me and feels like it does not fit. All of the outside border is supposed to be the multi color that is on the bottom and both sides. The border around the smaller blocks is dark brown. Something is just off and I do not know what to change.

What do you think of the light Brown? Or any of the colors....what would you change? Opinions needed, please

I love all your fabrics except the light brown .You are right that it doesn't work, and the reason is that almost all of your colors are cool. Brown is neutral but feels/reads warm. The black sets off the cool tones. I would audition a shade of purple (like your magenta flower) or a blue that matches the blue flowers. I'm leaning toward blue since you have the fewest blue flowers in the print--it would bring out that blue and look vibrant against the black and your rainbowish border.

I agree about the light brown. I copied your pic and auditioned a few colors for you here it is.

I think I would go white, more like the background of the floral print.

I would go with either the red or the blue that is in the print. The red would talk to your border fabric.

I like one of the purples, but the red or blue would be nice too.

I'm probably leaning toward purple now because I'm in the process of making my sandwich and will start quilting tomorrow on a blue/purple dresden plate king for my brother/SIL. She picked out the colors. Not sure what my brother's going to think with all the purple when I gift it Christmas.

I like the dark blue, it brings out the blue flowers in all that white and pink.

I prefer the colour that is between the brown and the white; on my screen it looks like a lilac or grey.

Don't like the brownish fabric either. It doesn't bridge the center to the black. If you use the raspberry or blue/purple, you have a cleaner transition. The brown is just too washed out.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your thoughtful comments. I am relieved to know others agree that it just doesn't look good. I have put this project on hold until I can get to the fabric store for something else. I think either the light violet or the blue will look really nice...but will try out the red and dark purple also. I will post a picture of the "amended" look once purchased. Again, thanks very much!!!
