About 6 months ago I took 2 weeks and cleaned my. Then it took a month before I could find what I wanted. When it is messy I know where everything is. Why is that????

To keep my sewing room organized and clean, I have made it a policy that when I finish a project, I straigten and put up everything, vacuum, etc before I start anything else. By doing this everytime, your room will stay nice and not cluttered.

I have the same policy, BUT it does not seem to apply to "new purchases" which do not seem to have a place to live LOL!!

I envy you Laura, because you are close to being done. I have to finish by July 1 so I can be ready for company, but I have a hard time not sewing when I come across a UFO. Maybe we should create a support group :D :D

Laura, your post got my attention as you have the same name as my dear daughter that I lost in 1998 SO that being said I will tell you what I always told her. If you want your room clean you have to get off your rear and do it yourself nobody will clean it for you. Figure out where you want everything to go and put it there, fold your fabrics and stack them so you can see what you have. Use a ruler to roll them and they will stack neatly. Put all small scraps that you intend to use in a tote and keep all needles and accesorys in a tote so that you know where they are.

My husband was helping me move something in my sewing room last night and said "you know, this is really messy in here"! Wonder if I should clean and organize (again!)?
