How do I use the big cones of thread on my regular sewing machine? I've ordered some, but I've never used them, so I was wondering if they will fit on the thread holder on my machine?

Sit it in a coffee cup next to your machine and see if that works. Anyway that's what I would try.

Generally, you will have a stand that sits behind your machine that you place the large cone thread on and feed it thru your machine. Stands are available thru Clotilde and others, very inexpensively.

So, I can buy a stand for it?

Cjomomma, that sounds like what I'll try!

I use a Dritz stand like this one:

They have one at Joanne's and it is about 7$, and I used the 40 off.

I use a thread stand, but I don't use the cheap Dritz one. I use one similiar to this one from Clotile's. http://www.clotilde.com/detail.html?...a=thread+stand
It is cast iron and much better. It won't bend and doesn't tip over.

Or you could get a really pretty one like this ...

I would, if I had the money.
