The very first cone I bought I found it linty and it was breaking all the time but I changed my needle and it solved the problem. That was for piecing.
This week end I gave it the real good test with a good size embroidery cleaned the machine first of course and also about half way just in case and it turned out very good.

I had no problem at all
So I think I just been unlucky with that first comne because my embroidery used about 11 colors and had no problem at all :-) So I will definitely continue to buy from them !!

I am going to have to try the Pro line. I have used their other threads and they seemed fine to me no more linty than Coats, but I did buy that about a year ago. I would love to buy a more expensive thead but I buy what I can afford.

I love the Essentials thread. I buy black, white and natural in the large cones and use them ALOT!

I have all the color sets of the essentials thread and love them all, never had a problem with any of them.

I use the Essentials Cotton Thread from Connecting Threads. I bought it because I'm new to quilting and wanted to try it. My Bernina 1530 loves it so I'll continue to use it. I checked my bobbin area last night after doing some sewing and didn't find a lot of lint. YMMV.

Does anyone know if they ever run sales on the the pro line? I'd like to try it but will wait for a sale if one could be coming up. I've been using the Essential Cotton and with the exception of the extra lint it produces (and its quite a bit) I like it and my Janome's like it.

I bought some because when I got my new sewing machine they recommended not to use coats & clark. It is a little linty, but not as linty as coats & clark and the price is real food, especially for the amount of thread that you get on a spool. I ordered some more when they a 30% off sale, so the price is real good and trhe shipping isn't too expensive. I now have a supply of thread that should last me for quite a while.

I use the Essential cotton thread from CT and don't have a problem with it. I did a search on the Essential Pro from CT and it is 100% polyester and doesn't produce any lint. My concern with polyester threads is melting when pressing with iron. I had this happen once and hesitate to use polyester thread. Has anyone else had this experience with polyester threads?

I use to use coats & clark, then I bought some of the
CT thread and loved it. Now I won't use ANYTHING else.
