Your daughter is very creative, wow!!! Love the bag. Give her an attagirl for me and welcome her to our world of quilting.

If you are worried about your stash, take her on a thrift store hunt. I have seen beautiful bags made from re cycled coats, costumes, drapes that started out in a thrift store.

Let her imagination run wild!!!

My 12 yo daughter has been bit by the quilting bug and is actually using fabric from my stash. She actually made me cut up some of my prettys so she could make bags. She started sewing in August and now asks only a weekly basis to go to LQS or just goes down and picks which ones she wants to use for her current bag project.

How does a house deal with 2 fabricholics? I'm not sure my budget will like it, I know its not the end of the world but she wants me to cut my fabric.

Seriously, her bags are great and she is going to be starting her first lap quilt today.

My daughter also has the quilting bug. One day she took my entire stash and organized it in her room. Now I just go and get what I want from her room.

She has finished 3 quilts. I'm still working on number one.

Yes she did ask Santa for a long arm and was disappointed when it was not under or next to the tree.

Like mother, like daughter. Monkey see, monkey do!
It's great! Enjoy her company now. There maybe a time that she won't want your company!

Sewing will keep her out of trouble when she becomes a teenager. Keep encouraging her.

This is how we pass it on! My daughter ( now 33) started at age 12 and she knows that my stash is part of her inheritance!!!!

What a Joy to be able to share both your sewing craft and most of all time with your precious daughter. WOW the memories you two are creating. They will only get better from here. I am jealous...enjoy sharing your stash and count your blessing! My daughter doesn't have even the slightest iterest....I keep hoping.
