Cute bag! I'd go through my stash and decide what I REALLY didn't want to be cut, and let her choose from the rest. It's great she's so interested and it's good to get experience, but didn't lots of us start out using actual, true SCRAPS? if nothing else, it will develop her creative and inventive side, rather than just having to pick out beautiful new fabrics. I wish her the best - it's a great age to start sewing!

I see a next generation quilter/pattern designer!
Yep.. I think I'd figure out a way to pay her for house chores with FQ's...lol Or.. an outing to a quilt store but head for the 50% of bins first. I always check the bargain bins first. Some of my FINEST flannel backs have been found in bargain bins. I couldn't get my daughter interested as a youngster. I thin it's GREAT! |

What a wonderful "problem" to have.
She did nice work, Mom!  |
She is off to a great start! I'd rather have this problem than a lot of others that are out there today. She is a beauty!

What a pretty, talented young lady! Isn't it exciting to know our daughters are following in our footsteps? Love it!

You have a beautiful daughter with a beatiful bag. Be glad and very proud she wants to follow your hearts desire. Does she get an allowance for household chores? If not, good time to start - a small portion will go to LQS trips so she can develop her own stash.

How great to have a daughter who sews! Enjoy the shopping as long as the money hold out! Then head to the thrift stores and teach her to recycle fabric in shirts!
