Count your fabrics in kits!

I just received my first kit ever and it came from Craftsy- half price so I thought I'd get it.
While looking at the photos on the website I noticed some fabrics were missing. I then looked at
the count. It said 36 fabrics, when I counted I had 26 Yikes!

I contacted them immediately. So glad I checked before getting started.
They are sending me a new one and she said they would make sure everything is included.

Just a heads up.

It's always good to hear about a company that values its customers!

Good thing you didn't put it in the closet and 'save' it for later!!!! Glad they are fixing their mistake asap.

So glad you checked your kit straight away too. I've never bought a quilt kit from anywhere before, but I've heard that it pays to double check them when they arrive.

I once bought a kit at a show and the main fabric which was a panel was missing. I called the shop and they sent the missing panel. Glad I found it quickly though cause it would have been hard to replace.

I make kits for our church ladies who just want to sew. I always include the extra fabric because I can easily miscounted.

I, too, have had the same thing happen to me. I ordered a kit and one piece of fabric (a major one) was not in the pack. I called the company immediately and they were great - sent more than what was needed but they were right on getting to me. When I started quilting 7 years ago, I ordered some kits and love the companies even if they were running late to get some one piece might not be in the package (with a small note about it coming later) and it was sent with more than what was needed. Love the quilting companies on the web.

I've learned that lesson! I have a kit I bought 2 years ago at a shop about an hours drive. I didn't check it, but out side says "pattern and 12 fabrics included". I found it this summer, opened it, and it has 10 fabrics and no pattern. I can't remember what it was supposed to be. At least I still like the fabrics!

Well now I better go check my kits at. Buthelezi during the sale. Yikes! Thank-you for reminding us to check!

Yikes, I have several kits that have never been opened and have had for years, I never thought about checking them. Fingers crossed.
