You have received some great help. And some beautiful cross stitch pictures to look at. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

I have a quilt that I am cross stitching the entire top. I plan to add pieced squares around the sides. I am clueless too how to quilt it but I understand that I do not want my quilting to take away from the cross stitch. When I get it closer to done, I will post it for suggestions and recommendations. That may be another six months. It is a sloooow process.

Hope2quilt - I can't wait for you to share it. I have someone who said she sent it to a long arm quilter it did not affect the cross stitch. I think it would be wonderful. I am on a mission to finish the other 7 months. It is slow but so relaxing too. Time away and a break from quilting.

Debbie - yes it is relaxing. I am not a TV fan. So when my husband wants to just sit and watch TV or when my mother comes to visit, I sit and cross stitch.

Hi Debbie,
My suggestion is to stabilize the pieces before you set them as blocks by an light-weight iron on interfacing onto the back. That keeps them from bunching up and fraying when the quilt is washed.

Another suggestion is to look at the embroidered quilts at say bunnyhill. She uses quilt blocks with her designs and might give you an idea how to piece them in.

Thank you everyone. Jajudd24. I am about to wear out that wonderful shirt you sent me. YOur embroidery work is awesome. Please don't give up offereing them to the board. Not all of us can do it or have a place to buy them at your prices. You are a dear.

Now I can combine my love of quilting into my love of crossstitching.
