MsSage: Perhaps we could help each other out a bit...I need to get MY sewing machine ON the table!

I made mine into a queensize quilt though.

So what is the trick? Is it appliqued? It really looks curved. I'm curious now.

An extra piece is sewn into the seam then after it is sewn together it is folded back and the bias causes it to curve like that then I had to go back and stitch each little fold down. When I was doing the big quilt I had to stitch it down as I went along because it becomes quite big & bulky.

If you would like step by step pictures I can do that later.

Yes please...it is beautiful as a big quilt! I love that idea~

We are on our way out the door now but I will do it later today.

I would be very interested in step by step pictures. :-) It looks hard; don't know if it is beyond me, but it is absolutely beautiful!

Very pretty, but I can't believe the pattern and the technique are not copyrighted! How about just sharing the designer's name so we can get our own patterns/instructions from the creator?

mary quite contrary 01-03-2009 09:53 AM

Yes Nor'easter you will need a pattern but I will be glad to help you with how to do it.
