I did it once and that was enough for me to be more careful!

A long time ago I was babysitting my best friend's daughter. She grabbed it and touched the blade with her index finger and sliced it. Later, when her mom picked her up, I told her what happened and showed her how she did it, and cut MY finger! She still laughs about it 18 years later.

From someone who got a "paper cut" from scotch tape, I feel your pain.

Yes, my hand slipped and I cut my thumb to the bone...11 stitches and just barely missed the tendon. It taught me a sure lesson. Since then I only used the ergo rotary cutters that are automatically retractable.

Klutz glove or the fish filleting glove from the "boys' toy stores" are my thing since I cut my finger several months ago. I also never lay down my cutter without retracting the blade......ever.....and I sure don't leave the darned things lying around for anyone else to get hurt on either. It happens so quickly. As much as I like using a rotary cutter, I must admit, I never had this problem with scissors!

I cut the very tip off my pointer finger on my left hand. It seemed to take forever to heal. I nick myself every so often but watch where I put my hand when I cut.
