Cut my pointer finger on my left hand a few months ago at a retreat. Thank goodness did not have to have stitches due to the way the blade hit my finger, but still had to have a bandage for awhile until it healed. Bought a Klutz glove the next week.

I have done the dumb dumb of leaving it open, then blindly grabbing for it. Ouch!! Painful reminder to close it when I put it down.

Another accident to avoid is rotary cutting with bare feet.
I know a lady that had to have stitches on the top of her foot from the rotary cutter falling fast and hard on the top of her foot.

Yep, , just did this recently, fortunately my son was home to drive me to urgent care! They put some foam around my finger that would encourage skin to grow back. It's healing nicely, but won't be quite as evenly formed as it use to be, lol!

Yup, did mine a few years ago, 7 stitches later I now use a guard on my strip rulers. I also keep me cutter sharp.

Ouch, been there done that so many times my sweetie bought a ruler guard and stuck it to my main cutting ruler. He says I'm such a klutz one day I'm going to lose part of my finger. Hope it feels better soon.

Just did that about 2 weeks ago. I bleed so fast I could not find a scrap fast enough. It happened because I was so tired and trying to finish quickly with a dull blade. So while I was 'sawing' on the strip I got my finger tip and the fake nail. I learned my lesson the hard way.
