Gets better each day, love it, if you don't have a home for it let me know.........i have a good home for it....
That is one beautiful quilt, girl! Must say you were a brave gal annoucing your goals--I would have been worried that I'd get side-tracked by something, like LIFE, and then felt like I'd failed. You've got quite a following here cheering you on and we all envy your "camping trip". Way to go!!!!

stunning!
I am not a big fan of bargello. But, this quilt is going to be a-w-e-s-o-m-e.
I vote for no border & use the darkest red you have in the quilt already for the binding.
I wouldn't do a border either, but use a dark red binding. In your message I hear the fun you're having - Sweet!!!
The yellow square is like that because a light is shining through it. I love the look of this quilt very much.
Absolutely beautiful. Can't wait to see the finished product.

I have the same pattern and have selected and purchased 20+ fabrics. I have really been afraid to start it because I have never done anything similar to it. Keep up the good work. You are inspiring me to give it a try

Wow, that is really stunning. Maybe you have given me courage to try one. I have so much red that it would be easy to find all the fabrics I would need.
Keep up the great work. |
WOW that is pretty and I'm not a red fan.
I think you should use a black binding. It's subtle and doesn't distract from the quilt itself. Wish I were brave enough to try one.....maybe one day.

I am a red fan and love your quilt, use one of the darker reds to bind with. Great job.
I am picking my jaw up off the floor! It's turning out beautifully! Great job!

It is wonderful work and I do like the red too.

I agree, one of the darkest reds will frame your beautiful piece of work....love bargello quilts, and you came up with a great one

what is the name of pattern?

Beautiful!! I love watching a quilt in progress!

I hadn't looked for a couple
of days. You are doing an amazing job! Can't wait to see it finished. Hugs, Sharon |
I agree with the darker red for the binding.
I love bargellos and I have made several of them but yours is superb. I love red but I've never had the nerve to make a red quilt. I am definitely having second thoughts after seeing your fabulous quilt. I agree that it doesn't need a border; just bining. I can't wait to see the finished product.
Beautiful. Binding--either dark red or black I think the black would finish it off nicely. Yes do keep us posted with the finished quilt
What a nice color you chose. Someday I will post a picture of my first quilt which was a bargello.
What a gorgeous quilt!!! I vote for black border/binding.
It is brilliant.
beautiful can't wait to see it completely finished
You are making great progress. I would use one of your darkest reds, or possibly black. Keep us posted.

It is just beautiful. I have never done a bargello. I think that I'll have to put it on my quilting bucket list. |
Wow is all I can say. I wish I could coordinate fabrics like that!
That sure is a beautiful quilt you have.
Its georgeous I think the darkest color would set it off the best

This quilt is so so so so fun to make. I am happy to have insipred others to give it a try - you will love it. I am just here camping for the week and then I return home to the three kids, hubby, and multiple pets. I want to get as close to done here as possible. I would like to know what you think I should do for the binding/border. I was not planning to put on a border. What color would you recomend for the binding. Someone did say that any more red might be too much :) Should I use a color other than red? That yellow square on the top left is not actually there, not sure what it is. This is the bottom half.\ of the quilt. |
I would agree with the folks on the darkest red fabric you are using for binding. It is absolutely beautiful!
