Has anyone come across a design wall that is large and requires no pounding of nails in the wall? I saw one advertised somewhere and now I can't find out where I put the darn ad. I think it was cloth or vinal that adheres to the wall with some kind of stuff that makes it stick without nails or frame. Can you all help me out? Thanks

I saw one that had telescoping curtain rods and a flannel panel. It was neat, portable and worked well.

Fons and Porter showed a roll up window blind, they just covered it with flannel and then it was portable, but you'd still have to hang it somehow... sorry.

Yes, that is what I did...hangs very nicely, but I did put another longer rod on the bottom to keep it 'down'.

In a hanging wall, does the flannel really hold the blocks well? Seems like they would just fall off. Or do you have to pin?

For a small piece, it seems to stay pretty well, but when I am arranging larger blocks for a complete pattern, I do pin just for the extra hold.

I made my own just a few weeks ago. I got a peice of white foam insulation board from Home Depot, it was already cut to 4' x 2'x1" (you could get a big 4' x 8' if you want bigger) then I used plain white flannel and spray adheasive and covered the top and sides of the board. Then used double sided carpet tape to stick it to the wall. Works great and very inexpensive. I think the board was 1.99, flannel 2.99 and tape was 2.97. I had spray adheasive at home.

I don't know of anyone who has used this, but I've seen ads for it too.

I use the 3M hanger that you can stick to the wall, but pull off easily without damaging the wall. I use the vecro ones. My design board is foam core covered in flanel.

I just sent off for a sample of tha blockbutler stuff. Will see what I think.
