Best of DHs is that they seem to frequently complain about the purchases at the LQS, but love the results. Mine tells everyone who admires a quilt that there really is nothing to it: just sit down and go for it. Feels like he's forgetting a few steps inbetween. Oh well, as longs as he continues to give me space to 'go for it' all is well and he does cook like an angel!

Great job! Consider at least you hubby likes what you are making, even though he does not know the time involved in the making of your quilt. Some hubbies don't care about their wives hobbies. You're a goddess just to consider doing all of that hand piecing in my opinion.

Love it. The colors are awesome.

I love the look that the adjoining print gives your flower garden. Most of the ones I've seen use a solid color. I might just try using a print on my next one. thanks for sharing. You have given me a new prospective on this pattern.

It looks lovely, and I must say I also like the darker background (surprising myself..lol..). As far as your dh, I must agree with you, it is quite funny how sometimes they don't really understand how long our quilts can take...and I am like you, my dh is so good to me, hard to turn him down...Please post more pics as you put it all together!

You are doing great, but we know the next step is the hard part. that's probably why my normal sized Field of Diamonds is a UFO. Just do what you can. (sigh)

Yes, we love them and know they are espressing support of our quilting mania. Today, as my DH left the rehab hospital after a stroke, he casually promised "about 10" lap quilts for their long term patients and a couple for his fav staff. I like the idea, but not the pressure.

i wish i could convince my family you dont just whip them out like that ive been working on a large log cabin for a long time now, i cant let it beat me cause my neice is waiting very impatiently for it and doesnt understand its not sewing itself with everyone having babies and all the other stuff i quilt for its going to take awhile. my hubby keeps trying to encourage me to get it done but i dont have as much time to sew as id like since i work fulltime and have to keep the house livable and as i said everyone i know is reproducing lately im wondering if theres something in the water lol. i think i need to just take a week off this summer and just sew nothing else lol tell hubby mcdonalds is right down the street or he can cook and clean for himself . do you guys think that would work ??? oh well i can dream right ??
