Thank you again, everyone for weighing in on my mystery! I am totally convinced now that this is indeed a variation on the Ohio Star. As I am a relative newbie to all the different names to blocks I just assumed when it was called an Ohio Star it was ... an Ohio Star.. I sure know different now!!
Thank you again for all your great thoughts and comments!! |
Some blocks have several names.
Some names hsve several different blocks assoccisted with them. Thst's why I find an illustation helpful. |
I think it's perfect...and this is coming from a seasoned beginner, I wish I could do one as pretty as yours and the guts to take an actual glass too. You done good!

your center square is too big, there is to much space between in the center of each side.
|
Yes, I do agree that center block is too large. As this is a tablerunner for myself and the block is constructed and everything is already cut I will continue on. However, I will be resizing that block for future usage,...using my handy dandy 'Quick & Easy Block Tool' chart.

You can change the center block to a 4 patch and it will be great.
|
I'm glad you're going to finish it and be sure to post it when it's finished so we can see the result. Thanks for sharing.
