a good price for this ?? |
I paid more than that for mine and have never regretted it. I see they are on sale now. I love it and now with the new adapters you will be able to use all of the GO dies on your Studio if you wish!!! I use mine all of the time. If I can answer any questions...feel free to PM me.

Yikes, I just looked at the basic die set, on sale for 450 bucks! Guess I will just keep having crooked quilts lol
|
I paid $1200 for mine (bread & butter starter kit) but now that I know more, I wish I had gotten just the cutter at a deal like this price and then bought only the dies that I wanted and needed. I have had my accuquilt for a few months now and some of my dies in the starter kit have yet to be opened. I have ordered several though that didn't come in the set. I only buy the dies when they are on sale. They have 2 new items on sale each day. Hope this helps.
and I love my accuquilt studio! |

and I love my accuquilt studio! AM THINKING OF UPGRADING FROM THE GO. HAVE LOTS OF DIE CAN USE. SORRY CAPS. |
The sizzix big shot pro will allow you to cut several pieces of fabric at once. I bought the Westminster version on overstock for 240. It is similar to the studio but does not allow the use of the biggest studio dies.

I just ordered the GO! Baby. It came with a starter set of dies and a mat for $129 at Nancy's Notions.
|
I saw it on sale too, but I'm still dreaming about it. I did read the specifics on it from the website and the studio cutter weighs 55lbs! So I'm thinking it's going to have to be placed in the location it will need to stay. In other words if I bought it, I would have to have an area that was designated only for the studio.
|
I have the Go and love it. I don't have space for the Studio.

What is the difference between Accuguilt Studio and Accuguilt Go.

Go is for the home quilter. |
Yes, that is 200.00 off regular price. I don't think you can get them anywhere else cheaper, unless it is used or you are very lucky, because I looked everywhere I could think of.
|
Yes you have to have a designated spot for the studio and you can't just take it with you, like the Go or Go Baby. I chose it because it is very sturdy and I don't go anywhere, lol. I don't need to take it with me and I get a lot of use out of it. Just depends on your wants and needs. The studio dies are more expensive and now they have an adapter to use with it so you can use Go dies with it. I have seen go dies on many other sites and they have sales on them. So I got the adapters as well, so I can pick Studio and/or Go dies to purchase and use as I see fit.

I bought a sizzix big kick and have never opened it - I ended up buying a accuquilt go instead - I like it even though its kinda hard to turn for me - I will have to save up for the other lol

Go is for the home quilter. I did have a special place made for it, I will post that picture on a different thread. |
I saw one demostrated at the quilt show here in Lincoln NE last week and it blew my mind how you can cut so many different shapes with a roll of the handle. Would love to have one. Maybe for Christmas. BUT I WANT ONE NOW!!!!!

I just saw one on sale the other day. Go on line and watch for sales. I think you can get it cheaper! I have one but wouldn't pay that price-it was a gift!

hello,
you cannot use any other die, than the studio. the go dies and not made for the studio. you will damage the die. if you call accuquilt, they will let you know what dies are compatible. hope this helps. |

OMG! that is such good news. i came across a yard sale from a lady who was throwing out several dozen go dies because her daughter no longer uses them and she didn't have time to devote to list and sell so she gave them to me! i will purchase the adapter. THANK YOU for the information.
