Unfortunately I cut out more than one pattern. Summer is so busy so I guess when school starts I'm ready to sew. I may get too many projects lined up when I already have some UFO's to do. But it's all fun especially when the project comes together.

When I cut and how much I cut in advance depends on the project. If it's a sampler quilt, with all different blocks, I cut one block at a time. If I need to make multiple copies of the same block, I cut all those blocks at once and then sew them. However, if I have the same block in different color settings, I usually cut only one color setting at a time. All of that is how I cut when piecing by hand. It keeps me from getting confused and messing up my blocks. When it comes to machine quilting, that's usually done with strip sets (at least, at the level I'm machine quilting now) and then I cut all of my strips in one go.

Heck no! I can barely cut one pattern right at once!

I cut up just one quilt & then put it all together then between big quilts I'll do a small project to give me a little relief, like now I am waiting on some fabric I ordered to little of so while waiting I'm making a couple of fabric Christmas books for my 2 youngest DGk's. We leave for vacation Sunday so I'm sure hoping the fabric comes in tomorrow so I can at least cut it up & have it ready to sew when we get home from vacation.

I don't cut more than one pattern at a time, because I know me, I would get them mixed up! I also don't have that much room in my sewing room.
