Yes, unfortunatly, I have made at least one quilt that I don't like too much. One I am thinking about is a grandmothers flower garden. It is about 3' by 4' right now. I started it back in the 80's when the fabric selection was nothing like what it is now, and my color sense was a little imature, so now, I don't want to finish it, but I sewed all those little hex's by hand and I don't want to just leave it either. My daughter who just got married 6 months ago asked me about it, that she would love to have it, because she remembers me working on it (she called it the stop sign quilt). I have designed the finished quilt to be very different than what it was supposed to have been. I will finish a few more rows of hex's then add some cute borders to make it a medallion type quilt. The lesson here is finish your quilts while you still like them, before they go out of style or before your tastes change too much.

I have had only one but, it really isn't all that bad, I end up thinking they are all pretty when they are finished, I will save it for someone special, who is yet to come along.

I'm so glad you said this! My son jumps on our bed all the time - so it would be good if I wasn't 100% thrilled with it then!

I have a few quilts I have hated after finishing and they are all loved by the recipients. That works for me. My DD has one I call the quilt from he**. It's one of her favorites. Go figure.

Yes, I made my very first attempt at a bargello. It's very small, and it's pink, cream and green. I named it "pickles and ice cream", but I don't like how it came out. It hangs on my quilt rack and doesn't get used. Other than that 1, I think there is 1 or 2 that I have given away that I ended up not liking so much.

Usually, it's because I'm not happy with something I've done.

I had the opposite happen, too. I had fabric I didn't like at all, and sewed it together into a quilt that turned out pretty nice in the end. Quite a surprise for me!

Here is one I made for my mom, see pics

This was going to be the front, but I was not happy with it so........

I made this for it which became the front and put the other on as the back which made it reversable.
