That Maple Island site has some interesting stuff (besides the BQ2). Thank you for mentioning it. :-)

I make a lot of denim quilts and they are all the same pattern but using flannel or cotton fabric with the denim they are "one of a kind" and they look all different. Now working on a project of making 200 recycled jeans into quilts for sending to the Ukraine. So far I got 10 done and have at least 20 more to go on this project.

I've made several Weaver's Fever quilts....but my all-time "go to" is Trip Around the World. A quick sketch on graph paper, a decision about how big the squares should be, and I'm off and running!!!!

Disappearing 9-patch is my go-to in a pinch.

Can someone tell me where to find the Lucky Stars pattern? Do you have a picture of your quilt? Thanks!
What makes it an easy star is that the star is floated, so no chance of cutting off a point! Missouri Star Quilt Company has it if you want to purchase: https://www.missouriquiltco.com/shop...-quilt-pattern |
Since I make so many Charity Quilts, I love "Warm Wishes," a Linus quilt, as the different fabrics makes them all a bit different.

Oh Boy, do I ever!! I am currently working on my 11th Boxed Squares.

I am copying a former post about a pattern that I have made literally dozens and dozens of tops from for Project Linus tops. It makes large print fabrics up in no time or you can substitute 4 or 9 patches for the center as well. It is my go-to pattern!
Potato Chip Quilt so named because you can't make just one. Cut 8.5" squares and sew 2.5" strips on all four sides. Then just sew the blocks together. . . OR: Cut finished 10.5" square in half twice; once north to south and again west to east. Turn two diagonal "new" blocks around 180 and stitch back together. You can find a link to it on here by searching Potato Chip Quilts. Here's a link to the original pattern: http://sundays-quilts.blogspot.com/2...hip-quilt.html Believe me, this one is fast and never boring! |
The D9P is my go to pattern. I have made several and it is so versatile and has so much room for creativity, none of them even almost look alike.
Changing fabrics of course makes a big difference, but the layouts are so flexible the most fun is playing with that part! |
