I keep a SMALL spiral notebook next to my computer. Whenever I see something I might like to do someday, I write it down. Also put down websites I've visited, products I might buy, etc. Once in awhile I go back through and cross off items that I will no longer need, or are interested in doing.

I have bookmarked folders of quilt pics and patterns, sorted by category, baby; easy; quick; and challenging on my computer bookmark file.

I have a mental list that seems to change everytime I find a new fabric or pattern

I have pictures and instructions for quilted projects on 3 different computers all saved under "quilts" and different projects on each computer. I try to remember to put them on jump drives now and then and put them on my main computer so I can back them up to the external hard drive. A system...no, but I have nearly as much fun looking for a particular one as I do exploring the "free" patterns and tutes. The only thing systematic about my way is to use the word "QUILTS" as the file name where I save them. They are saved in many different formats and I try to make the name somewhat descriptive of the pattern or item.

Thanks....I have my pages too....now if I remember to use it! Have picked up several tips on this thread. Thanks all.
You can do this by clicking on 'my pages' at the top and create a page (I just did one called projects from other sites) and then copy and paste the links. You can edit the page as often as you want, I think. Or you can add new pages. Then when you need to find them click on my pages and then the page name. I LOVE this feature and will be using it a ton in the future.
|
