I use a lot of batiks -- a way to use the stripey ones -- Borders, piano key style. Cut across the stripes and sew on. It gives a pieced look when you do not want to take the time. I use them often when making children's quilts that will be washed often I like the striped look.

K Fassett uses lots of stipes in one of his older books. You might check those patterns. Another idea is this pattern that i hope to make some day. http://www.grizzlygulchgallery.com/i..._for_the_Money
