I think there is too much play in those for me

I never pin. I use a board frame( picture below) four clamps, four legs and thumb tacks. My room accomodates anything from a baby quilt to a king size quilt.

Pin, used to not like the curved sefety pins but not so bad if it's a small project, or have somthing on the other frame. haven't tried the spray baste, Hopefully all are using some kind of mask, if its strong enough to put things together, or the need to work outside, and hard to wash off, what's it doing to you?

I know you get like 50 in a package of Pinmoors for about 15 or 20 dollars.
|
I lightly spray baste and then tag on a very large quilt. I find the tags great to use.
|
Where do you spray baste? Indoors or outside. I spray basted a small quilt in my family room. Laid out a king size sheet under it and still had a lot of overspray on my hardwood floor. I got it cleaned up but it took 3 times to get it all up. If you do it outside what do you use to put the quilt on?

Pinmoors aren't foam. They are molded silicone. I've noticed the pin holes close up so I think they are self healing. I order a package when ever there is a sale on the odd colors ones that don't sell. I have quiet a mixture of colors.

#1 - that stupid thing kept breaking on me! #2, I found it allowed for too much movement to suit me. Now I spray baste AND pin... just want to make sure that puppy isn't moving while I quilt it. :) But then, I don't do free motion quilting. I mostly do STD or use my embroidery machine to get the design. |
