How long do you let the quilt dry after you spray base, and does it make the quilt stiff?

Spray basting is a great thing unless you have allergies then it is bad very bad tried it and was sick for weeks between allergies and my asthma

I use the quilter's curved safety pins and a Kwik Klip to close them. The tagger gun's needle leaves big holes in the quilt. Spray basting is a no-no asthmatics.

The last baby quilt I made I used tailor tacks. That is just taking 2/3 stitches in the same place without knots. It's almost as fast as pinning & they dont get in the way. I did take large basting stitches around the edge.
