Does everybody who uses basting spray use it outdoors? On the cans that's what they say to do, due to harmful vapors in the spray. I think it's related to dry-cleaning fluid. I love the way it holds the layers together, but when I take the quilt outdoors and lay it on a sheet and spray it, the slightest breeze tends to make the layers and sheet go every which way. I'm going to try Pinmoors.

I pin and spray baste both, I think they hold together better. I also use clamps when doing so.

I just started using the pinmoors and I like them. I haven't tried spray basting because I have a breathing condition and try to avoid as many sprays as possible.

I pin, I tried spray basting on a baby quilt and it was okay but I ended up adding pins, not as many as usual though. I'm not sure if I'll like it on a queen size quilt.

Curved safety pins for me, can't stand spray basting. Hate the smell and the sticky mess.

Ooh, sounds like I need to try spray basting as I hate to pin!

Spray basting - 505 spray - can't beat it. I had one of those guns. Never could get it to work right. I still got all sorts of wrinkles and things on the backs. Plus - cutting those things was dangerous. I nicked my quilts a few times.
