I pin. It's tedious, but necessary. Haven't tried the spray.

I pin and never have a problem with it.

I use 505 basting spray. No pinning for me!

I have a tagger gun somewhere..I never really liked it. And after I cut a few holes in the quilt I was working on getting them out ~ it pretty much stays in the drawer.

I used to pin with small curved safety pins, then I spray-basted and used pins as back-up...now I have a machine quilting frame, no more basting for me! :D On small projects that don't fit in the frame I use fusible batting.

I don't like the pins, only because they are always in my way with free motion. Basting is just to messy for my liking. I appreciate everyones thoughts and opinions on this, will check on pinmoors and see what that is.

I spraybaste on a tarp on the driveway since there isn't a huge space for it in the house. Except for very windy days, it works well and there is no problem with messy overspray on the edges. Then I fold the tarp up for next time.

spray basting for me. I've pinned one quilt that I was having trouble with the back puckering but I much perfer the spray, someone mentioned you don't need alot and that is so true. Too much will make you needle gummy.
