I really enjoy quilting, I don't enjoy cooking. I have a picky eater for a husband and I end up cooking all the same things because I know he will eat them. But I love to experiment in quilting. It is relaxing and enjoyable and a stress reliever.
I love going to quilt retreats, because I can sew all day and someone else does the cooking. |

Sad, huh. I told him that I was NOT going to put up with boring food and began to introduce things without telling him -incl onions/garlic; now ,he will eat most things except spicy things, so I do him liver whilst I have curry/ chilli-------------why don't you try it----------OR cook what you like for yourself and buy him tv dinners!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mt cooking much better than my quilting!!!!!! |
All I can say about cooking/quilting, is, I HATE to cook, get no enjoyment from it and do it quickly and haphazardly, and yes, I have a husband who is part martyr and part cook.
On the other hand I love quilting/sewing, I find it relaxing, fulfilling and I enjoy it! |
I USED to be a good cook, but DH started cooking our dinner when he retired. Now I can quilt right up to dinner-time.
I don't get to cook-by-tasting, so I'm not gaining weight - that's 1 way cooking & quilting are different - I don't quilt-by-tasting |
