I like my spagetti sauce best but anyone else can cook and I like everything else people make. I love the change.

Sometimes I like someone else's cooking better than mine. But if someone makes a quilt just like mine, I think I would like mine better.

I'd rather eat someone else's cooking cuz I get so tired of trying to come up with something different. Since I'm new to quilting, everything is different! I'm still not good at figuring what goes with what, so I guess that's similar to cooking.
I'd much rather look at another's quilting skills/colors! Someday mine will be better tho, I'm sure of that!!

I hope not because I don't cook anymore! LOL

I think with cooking, you always like what someone else made because you didn't smell it and taste it as you cook.
With quilting, you know where your mistakes are but someone elses quilt, you only see the wonderful completed quilt and not their mistakes.

I think they are alike. They both allow me to be creative and frequently I'm totally surprised by the results.

I must be a lousy piecer because I'm really learning how to compensate for strange piecing when I quilt! I have come up with several ways to compensate for a wavy border and blocks that aren't exactly the same size (it helps that I won a couple of block lottos at my LQS and there was up to a 2" difference between some of the blocks!).

Neither is brain surgery, so no one will die if I make a mistake...more likely to be hungry if I mess up in the kitchen and those truly funky blocks that just won't work in my quilts will end up all together in a colorful quilt for someone!

Tough question. I always enjoy trying someoneelse's cooking although sometimes I've run upon someone who can't even boil water if they tried.I love to swap recipes. And, I always enjoy looking at things other people make and often get ideas from how they do things or fabric choices. But, when I do something myself, I think I'm prouder of mine because I did it! Does that make any sense???
