I put a LOT more effort into my quilts than my cooking. My DS is an extremely picky eater, so cooking around here is no fun. Plain potatoes or rice or pasta, maybe butter on it. Plain steamed veges, maybe with some butter on it. Plain roasted or grilled meat, maybe with some salt on it. That's about it. I live for the day I can make a casserole!!
Sad, huh.

No I sometimes like it more and other time it is just not me. I think it has a lot to do with color but then I am the same way with cooking.

I just know that it doesn't take so long to cook a meal as it does make a quilt!

I live in a creative box when it comes to mixing fabric colors....but Im a pretty darn good cook. Oh and I love everyones quilts more then mine. The mistakes show up so much more on my own work.

Well I think its easier to fix a recipe then a mishap on a quilt

It depends on the colors for me!

Quilting, for me, is a pleasure. Cooking a chore. So, no, I don't think they are alike. ;)

Cook is a four letter word!

To me quilting is not like cooking. I hate to cook and love to quilt. Something cooked soon disappears, but something quilted will last years and years. Eating what I cook makes me fat, but whatever I quilt doesn't add an inch to my girth. I eat to live, but I live to quilt.
