No, I don't tilt mine, my machine is set down level in the top of a cabinet.
Same with mine. I have to have mine level with the table, cannot sew with machine on top of a table. I don't have enough work space with the machine on top of the table. Take care.

I'm going to try it -- but first I have to put something under my FW so it won't slide off the dining tsble. Maybe I should tip the whole table and put a rubber mat under the FW.

Thanks to everyone who remembered my Sewing machine lifters. It works for short people too. LOL. YOu don't have to sit up so far to see. I love them. I carry mine everywhere with a spare or two and they always sell. I may have to try the little rubber legs too and carry them for those who dont' have a sewing machine lifter. I saw this idea a few years ago at a retreat, did not want to spend 50.00 on it so dh made me one when I got home and it's gone on form there. It was not my invention,,,,I'd be rich if it were. ROFL. Loved reading all the ideas on here. ♥♥

I tilt my machine but I do it with two erasers that say Fabric Eraser on them. It tilts the machine slightly and I can still use the machine set into the cabinet. I don't remove them when I machine quilt. This has been a very interesting subject.

I had purchased a tilting bed for the machine and used it for a few years. Then I decided to try it without again, and I'm perfectly happy without it. I'm confused.

At the dollar store they sell the spongy rubber kitchen cabinet liner in a roll. Put that under your machine and it won't slide around. I have a piece under all my machines, even my serger, and I have a piece on the floor with my foot pedal on it - keeps my pedal from "walking" across the floor too.
