Mostly it depends on what machine I am useing. But I do use a leader most of the time when piecing triangles or
points. It just works better no matter what machine...

I mostly hand piece so this threw me for a minute. No. when I piece on my machine, I don't use one either.

As far as I know a leader is just a piece of scrap fabric but I may be wrong. Please elaborate.

Same here. Now what to do with all the tiny 4 patches that have half filled a small tote! ;)

(Actually, will eventually make a postage stamp quilt or have used them as corner stones. Waste not, want not.)
