I use good quality muslin also. If I can find a print for cheap or 108" on sale I will use that. I do like muslin especially on a older looking quilt it just makes it more old looking. Now with the prices I may use muslin more.

I use muslin when I can't find a fabric that co-ordinates with the front.

I haven't yet, but that is what my Nanny always did.

I use both but on quilts that are made for patterns from the 30's, muslin seems to be the most appropriate. I do use a nice weight muslin. The man that does the LAQ for me does not really agree about the muslin but it is my quilt!

I have always used muslin, good quality, extra-wide for quilt lining. I am very much a traditionalist, grew up with a piecer/hand quilter mother, and I love the way it looks on all quilts.

I mostly do traditional blocks for my quilts, so I use a good grade muslin for the backing. Muslin is what my G'ma and my Mom always used. If I do a more modern quilt, I like to use a print that matches the quilt top.

Where do you get good muslin?

I use muslin for some quilts. If I can't find a print that goes with the front I may use it. DianeC

I usually buy JoAnn's best quality. I have bought a good quality from WalMart before.
