I prefer good quality muslin, not so thin the paper could be read through it, I am a hand quilter, and find muslin is much easier to use. piecefully, the old one

I use muslin all the time too. Makes a great backing.

I use muslim on the quilts i keep and will be using myself. I also use muslim on all my petnapper quilts. When making a quilt for someone else, I try to find something nice for the back, as long as it is reasonably priced. I was able to get nice muslim the other day that was on sale for only 2.09/yd at Hancocks. Had to buy 5 years for my petnappers. I like the way it feels and looks after it's been washed a few times.

I use it on table runners, wall hangings & placemats. I bought an entire bolt when our Walmart was going out of business, got it for half price.

I use the unbleached muslin on all of my quilts, there has been no problems..

I use muslin for most of my quilts. I love the traditional look it gives them and buy it by the bolt when i have a coupon at joann's. I only buy the kona or really nice stuff so it will hold up for a long time.

buy it at Joann's by the bolt when I have a 40 or 50 % off one item sale..

I used muslin to complete an antique top: it just seemed to be the right thing!

I use muslin a lot for quilt backing. Much of the time I use left over blocks from the quilt front to add a little 'spice' to the back.

I love the look of muslin on the back, esp after someone has done beautiful quilting, the pattern shows through so nicely. I'm not experienced enough to know what I like to work with best and my machine quilting is still at a beginner level.
