My DH would not even give me the time of day.
|
My wife's DDH is a HUGE help to her. He cuts fabric, picks fabrics and patterns, and so far has done all of the quilting...I could go on and on. He's absolutely the BEST helper she could ask for.
Seriously ladies (and guys), we do work together and I think we make a good team. The only problem is that I spend too much time reading this board when I should be working on one of the many WIPs in our pile. Darren |
When I am looking for just that right fabric to match a project, I take my hubby to the fabric store with me. He has a really good eye for that and I appreciate his help.

I never thought of the cooking, cleaning and laundry as helping us actually for our quilting..but it is a major help. Now I have to add this..my husband after ironing all my fabric and cutting 420 strips of fabric and knowing I have 560 to go yet...said..after work tomorrow he is stopping to buy the Simplicity Cutter (that cuts up to 6 in wide)..cuz he is NOT doing it this way again. ha ha ha
Now I know what to do when I need (want) and new toy.. ha ha ha |
My DH helps me with measurements and numbers and he appreciate all the work and effort i put into a project and he gives me good feedback and encourages me he also reminds me to do a little exercise for healthy living :)

.Mine has helped me to be more creative
I have found new was to pay for my habit so he doesn't really know how much I spend I have gotten so crafty at being able to hide stash and notions I am really getting good at cleaning the spots he notices so he has no idea how long I spend shopping, sewing or being on this site! |
I hope you ladies know how well you have it! Kudos to those husbands who help when/where needed, whether it's in the kitchen, around the house or in the sewing room!

He compliments! Also enjoys sleeping under.

My guy helps in a number of ways. I bounce colour off him. He helps me level my quilting frame when it seems to shift. He DRIVES me to fabric stores (PENN from Canada) and often points out quilt patterns. I showed him a obw picture and his eyes shone. I don't think he realized the scope of the talent that goes into these quilts we make. And YES he cooks (though I have to keep stroking him for that one). A real keeper.
