He doesn't sew but he's pretty handy with a pair of pliers and a needle when I'm trying to hand tie 3 layers or he's great with coming to my rescue when I need something made to help me out. He's my best critic and motivator.

Marsye, do you rent him out????

No hubby but when I did have one he thought it was stupid. No one else in my family is the least bit interested in sewing anything. If I show my daughter anything new she gets that blank look in her eye. lol How wonderful it is that so many have the support of their families

The hubster does not sew but he is great at design...When I am stuck on a quilt project he will come in and say "Move that piece here, that one there" And it is always terrific!
And he never complains when the mystery packages from Hancocks or Thousand of Bolts show up....Good hubster!!!!

When my husband and I got married and combined our households, he got absolutly giddy when he started unpacking my 6 sewing machines and all the other sewing related items. Yes, I gave him one of the machines, and made up a real nice sewing kit including a rotery cutter, mat and a lesson on rotery cutter saftey. (which he isnt so good at). Long story short, he made my wedding dress. And made it from BDU blouses. (Army shirts). The day before the wedding I had a final fitting and he scrutinized the dress then to my shock, took the scissors and made a slash at the neckline. I gasped! He didn't like the way it looked, so he added yoyo's. It was great. Still not sure if I like 'sharing' my sewing stuff. Kinda like having a sister...

It was our second marriage each so no need for all that fluff of a traditional wedding.

He quilts the tops for me, helps me pick fabric/patterns, and cuts it for me.

I'm a husband, and a quilter. My wife started quilting about 15 years ago and I started about 15 MONTHS ago. Now, I'm teaching her how to paper piece with freezer paper and soon I will be teaching her applique.
I drive semi's, cook as well if not better that she does ( certain things I cook better but she kills me at other recipes)..I fix lawn mowers, I'm also a Master Locksmith. I'm old and overweight and she loves me to death...
Oh! and we have matching, twin Janome 6600's.
